'bound' is inspired by the poetry of Lal Ded/Lalla, a 14th century Kashmiri poetess. This work is about spontaneously recognizing your higher Self. Lalla’s poetry encourages me to keep seeking a life beyond the five limitations of attachment, illusion, greed, desire, anger - represented by copper vessels. As my clarity sustains I transcend into my own natural wisdom of Self and begin to see the cords that anchor me and seek to move into the void of uncertainty, existing in an awakened state.
