AVPN Global Conference delegatestour grand mosque in Abu Dhabi<br/><br/>Visiting journalists of the AVPN Global Conference 2024 are given a tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the largest in the country located near the Zayed International Airport. The mosque, which was built by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan between 1994 and 2007, covers 12 hectares. It has a central courtyard that can accommodate up to 50,000 worshippers in a given day and a main prayer room that can has house 7,000 more. That growth has now minted a new billionaire: Roger Samuelsson, the 60-year-old Swedish cofounder of Switzerland-based SHL Medical, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of autoinjectors. Forbes estimates he’s worth $3 billion, largely thanks to his 69% stake in the company he cofounded in 1989. The remaining 31% is held by Swedish private equity firm EQT—which has minted seven billionaires over the years—and Athos, the family office of the billionaire Struengmann brothers.
