Description: Both Cineform and Prores are designed to allow the fast decoding of fractional resolutions. I wanted to see how they'd compare in a real-world example. So here's an attempt at testing the CPU utilization of half-resolution Cineform and Prores playback within Adobe Premiere Pro CC. The original file is a 4000x3000 GoPro timelapse* converted to 4000x3000 Cineform with GoPro Cineform Studio, then converted to 4000x3000 Prores with QuickTime 7 Pro, then converted to 4000x3000 h264 with ffmpeg**.nnAt
